Meet the founder
Hi, I’m Katie Ash. With over 10 years of experience as a designer in med comms, I found that design was often treated as a rushed, last-minute step. I launched Studio Statik because I believe healthcare design deserves more: more thought, more creativity, more impact.
After completing my master’s degree in graphic design where I explored user-centred design and accessibility, I became passionate about making information easier to digest, which is vital in healthcare where complex scientific content can feel overwhelming. I wanted to create a space where boundaries are pushed, while staying grounded in clarity, compliance, and compassion, because healthcare = health & care.
Healthcare doesn’t always have to be blues and greens. As long as we’re designing for the user - whether they’re patients, parents, or HCPs, healthcare design can be clear and meaningful AND bold and creative.
